Lateral Breathing

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

  • Breathe with your intercostal muscles while keeping your chest and belly still.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Resistance band or scarf

  • Mirror (recommended)

LESSON SEQUENCE

  • Exercise 1 - Lateral Breathing with Resistance Band (1:00)

  • Exercise 2 - Lateral Breathing in Seated and Supine Positions with Roll-Up (5:00)

NOTES AND MODIFICATIONS

  • If you´re unable to do a Roll-Up to sitting at the end of Exercise 2, then roll onto your side to sit up.
